Reflection
Every student is different and has different needs. However, for the most part, they can be taught at the same time, given their grade level and class (with modifications and differentiation built in for those that need it). Planning questions, lessons, homework and assessments based on my particular student population, not the test, will benefit all students. Yet again, I am inclined to say that the key to mathematical teaching is knowing my students and designing and altering my teaching around them. Teaching is much like being a tailor, you have to take measurements to produce an outfit and as a teacher, I must measure my students abilities and produce lesson that fit them (Kimball, M., & Smith, N., 2013).
